Creative Self-Care Bingo

This October is Mental Health Awareness Month in Australia. I've collaborated with Georges River Libraries to craft together a Creative Self Care Bingo Kit to inspire you to fill your October with creative and mindfulness-based activities. Mental Health issues affect all people at different times throughout their life. Creative and mindfulness-based activities can offer improvement to our general wellbeing while also offering a practical outlet for stress. These activities are simple, playful, restful, creative and engaging.

The kit contains:

⭐ 25 creative self-care prompts to choose at random to help you practice mindful activities to support your wellbeing that you can do at your own pace
⭐ Craft kits and instructions to create Kindness Hearts and colouring-in post cards to give to others
⭐ QR Codes that link to guided Mindful Art at Home videos and instructions (I created these!)

Buddy up with a friend or family member and support each other.

How can I access Creative Self Care Bingo?

There are two ways:

  1. If you are based in Sydney and can travel to Clive James (Kogarah) or Hurstville Libraries all you need to do is register for a kit here and pick up the bingo calendar and craft kit from the libraries. Kits are limited, so be sure to register to make sure one if available for you.

  2. If you are based outside of Sydney or Australia you can access the Creative Self Care Bingo calendar by downloading it here. You’ll have to source your own basic craft supplies. Join Creative Self Care Bingo! Also, download ❤️1000 Hearts Kindness Hearts Instructions which is one of the prompts in the calendar.

Naturally, I’ll be participating in Creative Self Care Bingo and sharing my own journey via Mark and Movement Instagram using the hash tag #creativeselfcarebingo. If you are participating too and care to share use #creativeselfcarebingo.

I hope you can join me for a month full of small but meaningful creative moments of wellbeing.
