Come along to a Get Crafty Workshop. Enjoy a relaxed and collaborative setting where you’ll engage in creative activities that foster connection, expression, and self-discovery.

These workshops are fun monthly from February - November at Hurstviille & Kogarah Libraries. All bookings are through Georges River Libraries.

In-person Social art group for NDIS participants

Are you an adult NDIS participant looking for a friendly, creative space to connect with others? Our weekly social art group at Our Community Hub might be just what you’ve been looking for. Connect with other NDIS participants who are looking for social connection fused with creativity; no previous art experience is required.

Our Community Hub is a fully accessible space.

Thursdays, 11:30am - 1:30pm in Engadine, NSW.

Runs weekly during the following the NSW school term.

In-person Visual Arts group for Young People at Shopfront Co-Op Arts

For young people wanting an outlet to find freedom to express themselves creatively in a relaxed and inclusive environment. This is a low pressure environment for young people to enjoy learning art techniques and connect socially with other young people. All workshops are designed around the interested of the young people attending. Young people will build confidence, have fun and connect with others.

Runs Wednesday evenings during the school terms 1 - 4, located down the road from Carlton Train Station, in Carlton NSW.

8-10 Years, Wednesday 4:30-5:30pm
11 – 17 Years, Wednesday 5:30 – 7pm

Shopfront Co-op Arts offers one free trial session.

    A hands-on weaving session using simple techniques to create small, textured pieces. This repetitive, soothing process allows space for mindfulness and creativity, resulting in a beautiful, tactile artwork.

  • Mindful Watercolour

    A calming session exploring watercolour techniques with a focus on mindfulness and flow. Participants will be guided through simple exercises that encourage relaxation, self-expression, and presence in the moment.

  • Altered Books

    Transform old books into personal art pieces through folding, cutting, and layering techniques. A symbolic & cathartic process of reshaping and reclaiming stories, this workshop invites creative exploration and self-expression.

  • Slow Stitching Leaves

    A meditative hand-stitching workshop where participants create real leaves using slow stitching techniques. This gentle practice fosters focus, patience, and creative reflection, perfect for reducing stress.

  • Kindness Hearts

    A thoughtful stitching workshop inspired by 1000 hearts project. Participants create hand-sewn felt hearts, symbolizing kindness and connection. Enjoy relaxation, gratitude, and meaningful creativity.

  • Clay Nature Bowls

    A grounding workshop using air-dry clay to create organic, nature-inspired bowls. Participants will imprint leaves, flowers, or textures into the clay, fostering a deep connection to nature and a tactile creative experience.
